ISO and QS9001
JKL Components Corporation maintains Quality Assurance Manual and Procedures that meet requirements of the QS-9000 and ISO-9000 standards and requirements.
JKL’s quality documentation is defined as follows:
WHY:
Quality Assurance Manual:
This document defines the JKL approach and responsibility. The manual follows changes in customer demands and management philosophy, maintains consistency during personnel changes, reflects changes in processes, identifies related quality procedures and is revised when new products are developed.
WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE:
Procedure Manual:
This document defines the task, the responsibility, the frequency and the department. Quality procedures are written at the functional department level and describe how each department implements their relevant part of the quality system.
HOW:
Material Specifications:
This document defines how JKL parts must look and perform.
Job/Work Instructions:
This document defines how a specific task is accomplished. Work documents are the step-by-step instructions specific to a product or task, and compose the bulk of the ISO 9000 documentation. Work documentation specifies tools, show workmanship criteria, and indicate tolerances. Work documents include directions for manufacturing, packaging, receiving, customer service, purchasing, inspections and tests and calibrations. Work documents may take the form of forms, reports and work instructions.
EVIDENCE:
Appropriate Quality Records:
These documents are retained for verification activities. The quality records are ongoing, objective evidence of the JKL system and evolve from our processes.
