Companies like Hammond, Wurlitzer and Rodgers have been making pipe-electronic organs since the mid-20th Century. These instruments create delightful sounds for churches, assembly halls and home parlors.
Electronic organs often combine pre-recorded pipe organ sounds that are reconfigured across the audio scale, to imitate the function of a reed organ. Harmonics are utilized to give tonal depth. In some cases a hybrid solution uses analog sounds combined with digital electronic waveforms. Some models offer dozens of audio stops and reverb adjusters.
Maintaining instruments will occasionally require replacing the specialty indicator bulbs inside of the organ’s mechanism. Suitable for a wide range of applications, JKL’s FB33/.150LL lamp is often used as a replacement bulb for church organs, such as Rodgers and Hammond models.
The JKL FB33 is an incandescent T-1 ¾ Bi Pin Lamp which runs on 14V. A full technical drawing is available here. Small quantities of these church organ bulbs can be purchased through JKL’s webstore. For a larger wholesale order, contact JKL to set up a business account.
